An examination of the current state of the Black vote and its effectiveness in implementing the Black Agenda. The course objectives are the following: 1. To provide an overview on the inner workings of state and local government and the negative impact of race on Black voting power. 2. To facilitate self-reflection on voter identity as it pertains to race and culture and how that can dilute voting power. 3. To empower the participant to take effective action toward strengthening the voting power of their community.
